Six members who have different tastes and ways to enjoy mountain activities will alternately write about their own mountain adventures in Canada or Japan. Common thing we share is that we truly LOVE mountain activities!!!! The post will vary from skiing, any style of climbing and Hiking and so on…

Being fascinated by the climbing culture and its vast nature Toshi moved to Canada in 2014 from Japan. Since then he started to explore new adventures and together with Takeshi, they have done multiple new routes in Canadian Rockies. Alpine climbing is his favourite among all activities. Although he is into extreme climbing another passion he has is his endless love for COOKIEEEEE…yes, he’s got a sweet teeth!

秋山 裕司 Yuji Akiyama
東京生まれ。2002年にカナダに渡る。若い頃からスキーや山をやっていたエリートではなく、社会人になってから始めた後発組。冬は2003年からスキーを始め、2005年から(現在も)サンシャインスキー場でスキーパトロール、2012年から山岳スキーガイド、キャットスキーガイド。夏は2003年からハイキング、バックパッキングのガイドをカナディアンロッキー中心に行っている。
一番好きなスタイルは、スキーを利用した氷河スキー縦走。カナダ山岳ガイド協会(ACMG)公認スキーガイド/ハイキングガイドカナダ雪崩協会(CAA)プロフェッショナルメンバー日本山岳ガイド協会(JMGA)公認スキーガイドステージ2/登山ガイドステージ2
Yuji came over to Canada from downtown Tokyo Japan in 2002. He planned to stay in Canada for only one year to check out the mountains but he’s still here. Seems he was trapped in Canadian deep pow and can’t get out! Yuji is a certified ACMG Ski Guide and a Professional Member of the Canadian Avalanche Association. He started working for Chatter Creek in 2012. When you don’t see him at Chatter, he’s likely guiding ski touring in the Rockies or Japan. Yuji spends the summer months guiding Japanese hikers and backpackers in the Rockies. He lives year round in Canmore with his wife and two daughters.
星野 千春 Chiharu Hoshino
2010年にカナダに渡り、そこから登山にのめり込む。４年間の北米生活の中でアルパイン、トラッドクライミングにはまり、アメリカ、ヨセミテ、インディアンクリークなどを渡り歩き、カナディアンロッキー最難の山Mtアルバータの頂に足跡を残す。2015年一年間の旅を終え、北海道上川郡に居を 移し、スキーやクライミングを楽しみ、山と共に暮らす生活を送っている。
Moved to Canada in 2010 and being mesmerized by the mountain activities especially alpine and trad climbing during his four years stay in Canada. Traveled around the North America and the world to seek for exciting climbing routes. He has climbed in the Yosemite, Indian creek to name a few. 2015 he finished his year long climbing trip around the world and moved back to Japan Hokkaido (I recommend you to check this place!! ) where he continues to look for new adventures, mostly skiing and climbing while living together with the vast nature.
兼岩 一毅 Kazuki Kaneiwa
北海道生まれ。2011年に夏の富士山に登ってから本格的に登山を始める。2013年末に会社員を辞め、カナダへ。半年間の滞在を楽しんだものの、日本の恵まれた環境、山の素晴らしさを再確認して帰国。現在は東京の郊外をベースに、冬は主に山スキー、それ以外は広く浅く遊んでいる。会社員として育児と山との両立に格闘中。
Born in Hokkaido.Ever since climbed Mt.Fuji in 2011 Kazuki has started to commit his life to the mountain adventures. After having quit his company in 2013, he decided to moved to Canada. His stay in Canada made him realize the greatness of Japanese mountains and decided to move back to Japan. Currently he put his base in Tokyo and devoting his passion mostly into skiing. As a new father he has a precious moment with family and still seek for the great adventure.
谷 剛士 Takeshi Tani
18歳から12年間、信州の山小屋で暮らし、山岳救助、登山道整備、山岳ガイド、スキーパト―ロールを生業にする。2012年に渡加、カナディアンロッキー、バカブーなどに数本の初登ルートを持ち、2015年には日本人初のACMG（カナダ山岳ガイド協会）公認Apprentice Alpine Guideを取得。
見た目はおっさん、身体はおじいちゃん、性格は子供のだめだめ三冠王
Right after graduating from high school at the age of 18, Takeshi started to work at the mountain hut where there was even no service. After having rigorous training, he became a member of mountain rescue team and guide in Japan.
After moving to Canada in 2012, he continued to devote to the mountain adventure and seek for the unknown challenges. Takeshi also has set multiple new routes in Canadian Rockies and Bagaboo. In 2015, he became the first Japanese ACMG Apprentice Alpine Guide in Canadian history.
菊池 ボブ 徳 Noboru Bob Kikuchi
九州生まれ、酒育ち。幼少期よりスキーやサーフィンに傾倒する。
就職で愛知に移住した2012年、父親に騙され向かった立山でのBCスキーがきっかけで山遊びの世界にのめりこむ。ものづくりを職とする傍ら、アルパイン・トラッド・BCスキーなどなど、のぼるもくだるも愛する山屋。

Born in Kyusyu-sounthern part of Japan. Love to drink.This Mr.easygoing guy has enjoyed skiing and surfing since he was a little boy.After moving to the mainland of Japan in 2012, his father told him a lie to take him to the backcountry skiing in Tateyama. This experience changed his life. While being a craftman as a job,he has another face as an avid mountain climber who loves alpine, trad climbing, backcountry skiing and so on.

劔村 裕規 Kemmura Yuki
富山生まれ。日本育ち。大学生の時に移動手段としてのクライミング、カヤックに出会い没頭する。2012年、妻と2人でカナダへ渡る。カナディアンロッキーで冬、夏を1シーズン過ごし、ハイキングとテレマークスキーを満喫する。
2015年春からは故郷富山で自然と共に歩むことを目指して林業、農業を学ぶ。ぶどう農家を志す、レジャーハイカー兼クライマー兼カヤッカー兼テレマーカーです。
